French for Fun 2
What do we do?
The group studies the BBC book “French Experience 2 with accompanying audio and we do verbal exercises on the subject matter. During the coffee break we have general conversation in French.
“Verb tense of the week” . We study the tense and its uses, frequently taking a little dictation followed by reading of a text featuring the verb tense.
Other activities include: quizzes on subjects related to a particular vocabulary, i.e. words encountered when travelling, objects in the home, etc. also short talks by members on outings, holidays etc.
What level of knowledge is required?
Fairly good knowledge of French grammar, ability to read, understand and speak.
What materials are needed?
BBC French Experience 2 book plus accompanying audio.
How many in the group, and are there any vacancies?
At present there are six members and none on the waiting list.
Where do the meetings take place?
In members homes in Gillingham, Shaftesbury and Mere, every Tuesday 10am – Noon.
